Chontrese M. Doswell Appointed Assistant Dean for Retention, Mentoring, and Support Programs

Dr. Chontrese M. Doswell has been appointed Assistant Dean for Retention, Mentoring, and Support Programs in the Graduate School . Dr. Doswell received her undergraduate degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and the Ph.D. degree from Howard University . She has held previous academic appointments at Longwood University and for the past eight years at the University of Maryland as the Director for the Office of Graduate Recruitment, Retention, and Diversity.

Dr. Doswell has participated in numerous national graduate education initiatives. Currently, she is chair of the National Name Exchange, a distinguished consortium of prestigious institutions of which Howard is a member.
