The Provost's Award for Excellence and the Howard Hughes
Research Scholars programs are
sponsoring a fall lecture series that will have a global focus
and will deal with the great problems facing the nation and
world, e.g. overpopulation, health disparities, origin of
mankind, and genomics. The spring series will focus on subjects
such as the Black Hole, String Theory, climate change, etc.
During the fall semester, a series of lectures for the
university-wide community will feature the following:
