Admission to a Department
Graduate work is under the jurisdiction of the individual departments, each of which has the ultimate responsibility for determining whether or not an applicant is sufficiently qualified beyond the general admission requirements to pursue master's or doctoral studies in a particular department. Special admission criteria for the individual departments are included in the descriptions of the programs of study offered through the Graduate School.
