| Established
in 1995, the Howard University Ronald E. McNair
Postbaccalaureate Achievement Program began its
quest to increase the number of underrepresented
Ph.D. recipients. Since its inception, more than
one hundred Howard McNair scholars have participated
in research, over fifty scholars have enrolled
in more than thirty graduate schools throughout
the United States and twenty-two have obtained
a master's and three are scheduled to finish the
doctorate (Ph.D.) by 2003. Our
scholars have attended or are currently attending
the following institutions and universities:
American University, Central Florida, Columbia,
Cornell, Duke, George Washington, Georgia State,
Georgia Tech, Georgetown, Hahnemann, Harvard,
Howard, Iowa, Kent State, Ohio State, Ohio University,
Purdue, New York City College, Regents, Seton
Hall, UCLA, UNC-Chapel Hill, University of Arizona,
University of Chicago, University of Florida,
University of Maryland-College Park, University
of Michigan, University of Minnesota, and Vanderbilt. |
