St. Lawrence University: Jeffrey Cambell Graduate Fellows Program
PURPOSE:
Annual program to address the issue of faculty / staff diversity at St. Lawrence University. Fellows will teach one course and present a research-based paper each semester in a department commensurate with research interests.
FIELD OF STUDY:
Open to all fields in which St. Lawrence offers a course of study, with particular emphasis on recruiting students in the sciences.
ELIGIBILITY:
All graduate students from such under- represented groups as African-Americans, Hispanics, Native Americans and Asians who have completed coursework and preliminary examination for the Ph.D.
AWARD:
Fellows receive a stipend of $28,500 for the year, the possibility of additional funds for travel to conferences and professional meetings, and office space with computer. The institution expects Campbell Fellows to be in residence for the academic year, to teach one course each semester in a department or program commensurate with their research interests, and to present a research-based paper to the faculty in the Fellows Lecture Series as well.
