Once students have been accepted into the program, they must complete and submit a Terms & Conditions form with a medical clearance.

Studying at University of Texas El Paso

The Office of International Programs provides services to international students and scholars coming to UTEP as well as to UTEP students and faculty going abroad. The Financial Assistance Program for Mexican Students (PASE) was approved in 1987 by the Texas Legislature in order to financially assist Mexican students interested in pursuing an academic career at the University of Texas at El Paso .

Housing at the University of Texas El Paso

Exchange students may live in apparent-style student residences or in private apartments or other housing adjacent to the university. The new University student residences, Miner Village , offers a variety of housing options. A one person efficiency unit (with some kitchen facilities) costs $485 per month. Rooms in two or three bedroom units cost somewhat less. There are food services available on campus and immediately adjacent to campus.

VISA ARRANGEMENTS

Incoming students who are non-U.S. citizens will be required to obtain a J-1 student visa at a U.S. Consulate in their home country in order to study in the United States . Please be aware that obtaining a visa may be a lengthy process.

After admission to the exchange program, please contact the respective department that will assist you in obtaining the right information and following the necessary procedures.
