ARTICLE I.
|
ARTICLE IV. - ENGLISH COMPETENCY AND EXPOSITORY WRITING REQUIREMENT | ||||
All graduate students must demonstrate their competency in the English language as evidence by a passing score on the English Proficiency Examination or the successful completion of the Expository Writing Course. This regulation, effective as of the academic year 1975-76, is a prerequisite for admission to candidacy in the Graduate School for students entering after August 1, 1977. Enrollment in a program of study for the development of essential writing skills is required for students found to be deficient in writing skills, as revealed through their inability to satisfy the above requirement. A non-credit, required course, "Writing Workshop in Exposition for Graduate Students," is offered for students identified as needing such services in accordance with the above. |
