Emmanuel
Glakpe was appointed Associate Dean
of the Graduate School at Howard University
in January 2002. As Associate Dean,
he oversees matters related to educational
and research affairs in the Graduate
School. He is also a member of the
faculty of Mechanical Engineering
at the university. As a faculty member,
he has mentored a number of graduate
students through successful completion
of their research projects. Through
the award of external and internal
research grants, he has performed
numerical studies of heat transfer
and fluid flow in irregular configurations
as typical in nuclear spent fuel shipping
containers. He led a research group
at the university to conduct basic
research in support of NASA for the
design and application of a Dynamic
Power System for space vehicles. He
is the author/co-author of over fifty
technical publications. He is the
recipient of numerous awards for excellence
in teaching. |
